Thanos was bad at math

I don't think enough people talk about the fact that population grows geometrically, so when Thanos killed half the universe he essentially just delayed the inevitable overpopulation by one generation. So like a decade or two tops. Of all the silly stuff in the Marvel movies, I honestly think that bugs me the most.
